Hurricane Party Playlist

The Official Hurricane Party Playlist

Hurricane Matthew is just hours away from making landfall in the Sunshine State, and the hurricane parties are about to kick off. After the booze is bought and your “canned goods” (beers) are stocked, it’s time to get the party started.

Are you wanting to blow your neighbors away with the best hurricane party on the block? This official hurricane playlist is an essential. We’ve put together a list of our favorite hurricane related songs for the ultimate Floridian hurricane party!

“Storm Warning- Hunter Hayes”

Let the party know there’s a storm coming. Drinks in the air!

“Escape- Rupert Holmes”

Also known as “the Pina Colada Song”- An instant classic.

“Rock You Like a Hurricane- Scorpions”

“HERE I AM. ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE!”- You can almost guarantee the one guy with the same name as the hurricane will be belting this one out at the top of his lungs.

“Umbrella- Rhianna”

This reminds me, I should probably go buy an umbrella.

“Thunderstruck- AC/DC”

Mix this song with The Official Hurricane Drinking Game for a guaranteed Category 5 party! Be sure to check rule #11.

“We Will Rock You- Queen”

Please don’t rock our party too bad, Matthew.

“Rain Is a Good Thing- Luke Bryan”

It’s all about perspective, I suppose. More rain = more whiskey.

“Cyclone- Baby Bash”

Nothing gets this party started like this one. For a frame of reference, this song came out the same year as Hurricane Ike.

“Banana Pancakes- Jack Johnson”

Once the party’s over and you’re nursing the Official Hurricane Drinking Game hangover the next morning, this song will make you feel alright.

Hunker down, and get the party started Floridians. Be safe out there!
