Ultra Music Festival
At the end of March, Miami, Florida hosts the Ultra Music Festival which is exclusively the world’s #1 festival for electronic music and hands down one of the top Florida music festivals. If you’re a fan of electronic music, then you’ll love this festival. The light show and stage are vibrantly lit up, with thousands of music’s watching artists such as Armin Van Buuren, AfroJack, Kaskade, Carnage and Dash Berlin.
Tortuga Music Festival
Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival is an annual country, rock and roots music festival in April at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, Florida. The festival is hosted by Rock the Ocean Foundation which hosts the spring festival to bring awareness and support for ocean conservation. This festival beautifully set on the beach and has had performers such as Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, and Kenny Chesney. This festival not only puts up amazing shows, but it also is a great way to support ocean conservation efforts.
Electric Daisy Carnival
Electric Daisy Carnival or more commonly known as EDC, is one of the biggest electronic festivals in the world and one of the best Florida music festivals. Traditionally held in Las Vegas, Nevada, EDC expanded their venue across the United States and now has hosts the festival in Orlando, Florida. Coined the “American Ibiza”, the two-day rave brings in hundreds of thousands of people listening to artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Infected Mushrooms, and Steve Aoki.
Zen Awakening Festival
If you’re into camping festivals and music which takes you on a spiritual journey and raises your consciousness and self-awareness then the Zen Awakening Festival in Winter Gardens, Florida, is the place to be. This festival doesn’t just offer music, they also have art exhibits, aerial drummers, fire performers, and even a water slide. Sunset Music Festival
Held on Memorial Day Weekend, Sunset has been a up and comer since 2012. Music fans can enjoy some of the biggest names in the EDM scene. This past year featured The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Hardwell and Jack U as the headliners and sold out! If you like EDM, this isn’t a festival to miss.
Not every music festival has to be in the summer. The Suwannee Hulaween Florida music festival is right before Halloween and is independently hosted by the band, The String Cheese Incident, over the Halloween weekend. The layout of this festival is quite different than the rest because it includes an array of bands from various genres, from urban-funk to experimental psych-pop.
