Okay, we have to have at least one beach in here. I mean, you’re in Florida, you’ll end up at the beach at one point so might as well find out which beach is worth visiting. Clearwater beach is one of the nicest beaches in Florida. The water is crystal clear, the sun is warm and the sand is pristine. Also, Clearwater offers visitors an array of activities to do from the Clearwater Jazz Festival, Clearwater Marine Aquarium and a variety of restaurants along the boardwalk.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
If you read all the books and watched all the films, you have no choice but to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s in Universal Studios, but we have to emphasize how amazing it is. You can let your imagination soar here, you get to visit the wizard shops, explore the Hogwarts castle and get to try out some exhilarating Harry Potter inspired rides.
The Stetson Mansion is considered one of the top 10 places to check out in Florida for a reason. The Stetson Mansion was hidden and forgotten for 100 years, however, it’s been restored and is the first home built in Florida before the 20th century. Built in 1886, to be precise, the mansion hosts amazing tours which take you through the house and not only show you the amazing architecture but, also where the royalty would go to have fun.
The Dali Museum
If you’re a fan of art, then you should definitely check out the Dali Museum. Located in St. Petersburg, the museum is filled with Dali’s abstract collection of art. Actually, the Dali Museum has the largest collection of Dali’s work outside of Europe. We recommend you take the audio tour, it’s helpful in understanding his work and what went on in that crazy brain of his.
Dry Tortugas National Park
If you want to get in-touch with nature and experience some of Florida’s amazing wildlife, then you need to go to Dry Tortugas National Park. You can spend the day taking a boat ride and witness the variety of sea life Florida has or snorkel and meet some sea turtles and dolphins. The best part about the park is that there is a limit to how many people can be inside at once – that way, it’s never over crowded. That being said, don’t forget to make reservations ahead of time!
If you’re unable to reserve a spot in Dry Tortugas National Park, Discovery Cove is also a great place to go to see Florida’s wildlife. You can snorkel through vibrant reefs, swim with the dolphins, and hear the songs from exotic birds up above you.
